The UBC Ceremonies & Events Office coordinates the University’s ceremonial, recognition and university-wide special events. It is the main office responsible for Spring and Fall Congregation ceremonies, working very closely with many other units on campus to ensure that the graduating students and their families / friends have an experience to remember.
The Office maintains the University’s traditions and protocol. It also coordinates events relating to high-level visitors and provides advice on protocol for high-level visitors and flag protocol.
Through the many annual events coordinated by Ceremonies, support is provided for the President’s Office and Place and Promise: the UBC Plan, the External, Legal and Community Relations units as well as the Development and Alumni Engagement portfolio.
